For South Rim - Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park: The plus is you are inside the park . Campsite are kind of small and uneven . We have a 36’ RV and there are very few sites large enough to fit. Generator usage is prohibited . Loop A and B are dry camp and loop B has power hook up. Camp is cramped and full . Dry camp $16 and hook up $22 . 50% off for senior pass holder. Road to camp good . Cellular Poot AT&T 0 to 1 bar.

For South Rim - Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park: Stayed over Memorial weekend. Loops A and C are small sites best suited to small teardrop trailers and tents. We barely fit in loop A in 21 ft travel trailer. Loop B has electricity and bigger sites for larger RVs. Although sites seem tightly situated, heavy oak growth provides a surprising degree of privacy. No hookups, no generators allowed (of course there’s always that one guy) and water is trucked in so labeled for water bottles only, no filling RVs.
Amazing views. As previous reviewer mentioned, trip down east portal road is a must. If you are in shape, hike down to the river! 2000ft vertical and wilderness pass required, of which numbers are limited

For South Rim - Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park: Would have been a 5 star except no water hook-up. I really liked this campground. Good spacing. Lot of vegetation between sites. Great location. Night sky was cool. There were only 4 other campers on loop B so I don’t know what it would be like full. No cellular service but you can get some a little way back towards town at a pull-off. There is a pay phone at the check in station if you need it. Cedar Point is the best overlook. Lots of wildflowers.

For South Rim - Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park: About what you’d expect from a national park campground, and it turned out to be completely free in the winter/off season as an added treat! (stayed in late October)
