For Hurlburt Field FamCamp: We came in a vehicle and a tent and we had a great night. We felt very safe although we were not inside the gates. Friendly and very clean.

For Hurlburt Field FamCamp: Great park and friendly staff. Stayed here for 5 weeks Nov - Dec 2016 in 40 ft MH. Level back in concrete slabs. $20p/ night, 120 week, or 450 p/month. No wifi unless close to office. Did not use restrooms or laundry, but were clean and well maintained. Only issue was traffic noise since sits next to a major road that is very busy during morning and afternoon rush hour. Spaces between slots are large. No trees between slots so during hot summer will require a lot of A/C use -- while we were there during cooler weather was not bad -- actually had to use heat on about a 3rd of the nights. Takes no reservations but can park in overflows waiting for a slot to come available. No hookups in overflow. Would definitely stay here again and would recommend.

For Hurlburt Field FamCamp: Stayed two weeks in August at the Hurlburt FamCamp. Newer location about a mile from the east gate. Level, concrete back-in only site and very nice utilities setup make connections both easy and convenient. Absolutely no shade at this campground. About 40 or so sites, we arrived mid morning and only one site was available; only because the previous visitor left a day early. First come, first serve. The facility is staffed 9-3 by ODR staff member; he is very nice. Office, laundry and shower/restrooms are all in one facility. Shower rooms are cypher locked for security (since this is off-base). Laundry room was fire-hot, no A/C apparently. Washers and dryers are newer, but guests washing items with loads of dog hair and not cleaning up wasn't pleasant. No cable and only one wifi point at office, with a very weak signal. Our TT Omni-directional TV antenna could not pick up any stations at our site, which was disappointing. It was a place to put up the camper, but nothing special. So much potential considering the location and sheer demand.

For Hurlburt Field FamCamp: The Rv park no longer on the sound. The new location is south of Commando village out the east gate from base. Nice concrete pads, new facilities, no shade, clean but boring. Over three miles from the water now.
