For Hurlburt Field FamCamp: The Rv park no longer on the sound. The new location is south of Commando village out the east gate from base. Nice concrete pads, new facilities, no shade, clean but boring. Over three miles from the water now.

For Hurlburt Field FamCamp: Worst place I have been in a long time. Not maintained, abandoned RVs with flat tires. No workers at site. No water. But lots of vegetation. Baths and laundry are bad!!!! I am ashamed that DOD has a place like this. Maybe a special forces training site.

For Hurlburt Field FamCamp: This campground is not recommended. We traveled from Oklahoma to SC staying at military campgrounds along the way. This was by far the worst one if the trip. It was not kid, family or female friendly. My husband accompanied myself and kids to the bathroom and I did not shower for fear of someone breaking into the woman's bathroom. It was down right creepy. There was a camper in nearly every other site but the only people we saw were random men walking around at night and the guy next to us. Push on to Eglin AFB. Do not stay here. You also have to drive on base to the marina to register, pay and get the bath house keys.

For Hurlburt Field FamCamp: Nice shaded campground, on the water, intermittent cable, that will be closing in June. New fam camp moving to Commando Village will be much larger, with no trees and not on the Santa Rosa Sound any more. Such a shame!!
