For The Hideaway: Love this Hidaway Retreat: a rare find on the WATER w/ charm of OLD Oaks& Magnolias for grand shade and breezes. Fabulous sunsets . Fun swimming/ fishing in the sound. Pet friendly beach ~ and wonderful staff will exceed your expectations! 3 of us w/ motorhomes booked waterfront sites. For The Hideaway: What a cute place! Small and well shaded, right on the sound. Our host was friendly and helpful. There was a tent camper next to us, that was cool. Lots of dogs around which made my daughters happy. They had kayaks and a stand up paddle board to rent, although we didn’t take advantage of that. Hanging out on the new pier gave us prime viewing of the lightning storm out in the gulf, and we got to watch the dolphins swim right by, one even came up pretty close. The newly graveled pads were nice, but not very level so we had a really hard time leveling our rig. And I hope they plan to have a camp store in the future, but maybe this campground is too small for that. A very small price to pay for how quiet and quaint this place was!

For The Hideaway: The new owner for this place now named “The Hideaway Retreat” has been busy! I wouldn’t call it a 5 star location yet but it’s nice. I was parked right up front on the side of the ocean and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very friendly and accommodating. I would definitely go stay again. They still have gravel pads, but its brand new gravel and they were rebuilding the whole pier while we were there.

For The Hideaway: This park is under new ownership and WOW at the changes and new facelift. It even has a new name. The Hide Away, a Camping Retreat. New white rock, a kids area equipped with tree swings, volleyball nets, bicycles, kayaks, paddle boards, and more to rent. A fishing pier and a pet friendly private beach. The mature trees provide the most amazing shade of any campground I have ever stayed in. I know this place was once a forgotten about place but this is the new place to be. The pics posted on Google are not even a fair or accurate image of what this park is now. Give the new and improve Hide Away formally Magnolia Beach Campground a chance, I promise you will be so happy you did.
