For Comlara County Park: Here April 5 until April 19, 2022 in a truck camper site 80. Staff always cooperative and helpful. Park very lightly populated this time of year. I have a nice view of the lake which is lightly used this time of year and has lots of birds. Did not use the facilities, water not available the first week. Park is showing its age and needs updates. Asphalt main roads need repair. Site pads are all gravel and most in my opinion not very level although pull through sites the most so. Although not far from interstate highway only mild noise. Good MIFI connections with Verizon, AT&T and T-moble. Close to El Paso and Bloomington for entertainment. Great strength of this park is wide spacing between most sites and some very private. They of course are the hardest to get do to advance reservation system.

For Comlara County Park: Overall good park. Very large, well groomed, bathhouse nasty. Bathhouse is a good walk from nearly all sites. Power is good and stable. No problem using Verizon. Dump station only at front as you enter. Nearly all sites very level. Water hookups are not good. Only a few shared spigots so be sure to bring a splitter. Typically will need 4-5 20-30 foot hoses to reach spigot and for some sites hookup is completely impractical. We fill our freshwater tank and live on that while camped here. Lake is large and has boat launch. We will stay here again. Park has never been close to full when we have been here.

For Comlara County Park: As others mentioned, the campground is a bit run down. But, we stayed mid-week in the summer and there were plenty of open sites. The lake nearby is pretty but probably better for fishing. I did not let my dog wander in lest I have to wash him off. Contrary to what another reviewer said, there are potable water spigots all around the campground, with many sites hooked up to a shared spigot. Not that many (if any) hiking trails right off the campground. There are more throughout the rest of the county park.

For Comlara County Park: Stayed here last night on our way to Florida. This time of year mostly icy and brown but still very nice for an overnight stop. Don’t believe water is available this time of year and not sure there the restrooms open either. But electric available and strong and cell service good as well. Large and fairly level sites. Would stay here again! $24/nite with electric. This is probably very nice in the summer.
