For KOA Holiday Lafayette: Like the other reviewers have said, this is a noisy campground BUT we requested the brand new section on the south side of the beautiful lake and it was much quieter. The roads back there were all concrete as were the nice level pads. There is a picnic table but no fire ring so we paid extra for a premium site that had an elevated fire pit with a grate for cooking on as well as a nice charcoal grill, wrought iron round table with 4 chairs and a really nice porch swing with a shaded pergola! Very nice if you're staying any length of time and like to hang around your campsite to relax. They give a 20% discount if you stay for 4 nights which we did. We visited the Tabasco factory and Jungle Gardens as well as Cafe Jefferson on Avery Island! Lots of good food in this area so come hungry (and bring larger clothes for the extra pounds you'll pack on!)

For KOA Holiday Lafayette: Very nice KOA lots of shade large lake for fishing or paddleboats. Near the hiway so some noise from that but also convenient if just ducking in for one night. About 40 min drive to the Tabasco factory tour. The office has self guided drivinng tours for the surrounding areas if you are interested. Lots of great restaurants within a short drive as well as grocery, fueL Walmart, etc.
Site's were level, hookups were convenient. Cable was good. WiFi was slow but adequate for checking e mail. Our site had a picnic table but no fire ring.
One of the better koa's we have stayed at.

For KOA Holiday Lafayette: Quick and easy check in, and great service as I always expect from a KOA! The roundabout was easy in my 40' TT, and there was all of the normal things you would expect from KOA. The only issue I had was with the highway noise. I was expecting it, and didn't really mind because it was a quick overnight stop. I would stay again.

For KOA Holiday Lafayette: In my opinion most KOA's are overrated. They charge to much for subpar sites and their site descriptions lead you to believe you are getting a really nice site. This KOA is right off busy I-10 so if you get a site like we did by the road you hear constant traffic all night. The site itself was very narrow concrete, the cable hookup was so far to the back of the site we had to borrow cable wire to reach it. To get to the camoground entrance you go thru a roundabout and with a 45 ft coach plus pulling a car this was not real fun!
