For Campgrounds at Barnes Crossing: We were traveling back home from out west, and very tired and needed a site for one night. Every RV Park was full in the area. It was a very hot day, so no pulling over and dry camping for us. When I called to see if there was a site open, the owner was so generous and said, let me call those who are suppose to arrive later to make sure they are coming. He called me right back and had a site for me from a cancellation. This was something I’ve never had done for us. On top of that, this campground is beautiful with full hookups, 50 amps and gravel sites. Trees everywhere so it was cooler on this hot day and evening. Great cable too. I appreciated his efforts to get us a site.

For Campgrounds at Barnes Crossing: Pretty campground with sites notched into a hill. Gravel sites a little unlevel but nothing major. I deducted one star since the cable TV was extremely snowy even after trying different cables and the neighboring site’s connection as well. Manager said “must be water in the lines†but didn’t offer a partial refund in the price, which I think he should have. We paid $39 with GS discount. Very close to many restaurants. Easy to get to as well. Would stay again if passing through.

For Campgrounds at Barnes Crossing: We spent April 8-15, 2019 (7 nights) in a 38 Ft. motorhome and had a pull-through with W/S/E-50 Amp. The sites are terraced on the side of a hill with gravel pads, stone partitions and trees. There was enough space on the site to fully extend our slides and open compartment doors. We were able to use our DISH Tailgater but had to maneuver it around some trees to get a clear signal. The campground provides cable TV and the Wi-Fi was okay but slow. There are a variety of businesses conveniently located near the campground and downtown Tupelo is about 12 minutes away. Overall, we give this campground a “Good†rating and would stay here again.

For Campgrounds at Barnes Crossing: Great campground with nice trees everywhere. We have a 40’ 5th wheel with a long bed F350 and had no issues in or out. Older bathrooms but we’ll kept. The guy at the front desk is super. We will stay here again.
