For Cedar Pass Campground - Badlands National Park: There are great views of the surrounding badlands and it’s within a mile or two of multiple great hikes. We liked the 6.6 mile castle and medicine root loop trail the best to get a great feel for the park. The sites are pull offs but there’s very little traffic on the campground loops. Stay on the outside of the Agate loop for the best views. The showers are coin operated so bring some quarters. We came in beginning of June and the grass was green and the temp was 65-70 during the day. Overall, this National park is so unique, I definitely hope to stay here again someday. had 4 bars of Verizon LTE. And don’t miss the Ranger talks starting at 9pm at the amphitheater (only a short walk away). They have two telescopes for stargazing and seeing the craters on the moon.

For Cedar Pass Campground - Badlands National Park: Locationwise this is a 5 star campground in the middle of the breathtaking Badlands. Had no problems with the site, even with a 36 ft class a. Facilities are ok but need some TLC.

For Cedar Pass Campground - Badlands National Park: This is still one of the oddest campgrounds most will likely ever encounter. It’s all about the location. On this stay tent sites were plentiful but the limited electric sites were mostly reserved. Very organized camp keeping track of availability. Following Covid guidelines for checkin. Electric sites are $40+ per site, $28.31 with senior pass. Decent AT&T. Two miles, almost within sight are two other camping spots, in Interior, right outside park entrance. Flat level sites with power pedestal on the correct side. And a decent little store in town. And one wandering peacock.

Sue

For Cedar Pass Campground - Badlands National Park: I did not care for the pull through arrangement where you park on the road with shaded picnic table in the site. It makes for congested roads and definitely a more crowded feeling to the campground. However, how much time is really spent at the campsite anyway? The camphost was friendly, place is run efficiently, location is excellent, close to the east end of the park where the hiking trails are located. Hot showers nice at 50 cents for 4 minutes.
