For Sand Springs Campground: Made it out camping on an unusually warm February weekend and this one of few campgrounds in the area open this time of year with full hookups. Setting is wooded and sites had nice space. Walked around and thought once trees bloomed would be beautiful. Employees on site were helpful and nice. Would like to return sometime when weather is warmer to have more time to visit local park and use facilities.

For Sand Springs Campground: This is a nice campground in the woods. Very quiet and serene. Wifi worked great and we received an abundance of TV programs via antenna. We were in lot 11a and camped in a fifth wheel.
Note: Do not use GPS coordinates for this campground. You will be lost. Call the office and the friendly staff will give you simple directions.

For Sand Springs Campground: FIRST: DO NOT use GPS.... ONLY use exit 15 off I-68- as GPS leads you up logging and 4WD road.
I gave this campground a 4star rating because it deserves more than a "3" rating; and because of its friendly hosts, overall clean campground, QUIET premises and generous heavily shade/treed sites.
The pool was not usable during my visit due to liner replacement pending...which would have been nice to know at the time if my reservations last week- although I was advised of the large number of motorcycle rally registrants- this because of potential noise factor from many motorcycles which ended up being a NONissue- no problems/concerns/issues noted during the entire weekend. The wifi is very slow and only accessible within a few feet of the main building- for me this wasn't a problem.
I've stayed here 3x in the past 5 years and will continue to patronize this independent business.
