For Standley Lake Regional Park: This is a nice municipal park. Don’t come expecting it to be a full service campground as it’s main purpose is to support very specific activities on the small lake. You can have small boats but none that come on a trailer. No hookups whatsoever. Generator not allowed after 10pm but it will be plenty cool by then anyway.
There is no dump station here. You can dump at the local city utilities for $25+ or go down to prospect RV park where it is much more affordable!
Great view of the lake and mountains on the horizon. We will stay here again!

For Standley Lake Regional Park: This is a simple park with no service camping but friendly staff, clean bathrooms, and OK spaces (it is high dessert area). Pick this park for its convenient location to access Denver, Boulder, and some nice hiking and biking trails. A 400+ acre dog park is adjacent to the lake. Better places for visiting Rocky Mountain NP that are closer and more scenic, but very convenient for visiting the city.

For Standley Lake Regional Park: This is definitely not a recreational area. I consider it a homeless shelter. I think we were the only one forced to pay $22 to stay at that shit hole. There is no play ground , no swimming in the water. Definitely no campers these are all survivalist trying to live as cheap as possible. I would not recommend staying here unless you’re working in the area. You can hear all the traffic, people working on their cars at six in the morning for some reason. If you cannot stay here for free I wouldn’t I would drive to Country and stay in peace with the Bears. We did luck out the day before when we stayed in Kansas, we stayed at the nicest lake in Kansas. Definitely drive further in the country and less it’s emergency there’s no way I would recommend staying here.

For Standley Lake Regional Park: Nice and clean park, although no hookups and hence generators often run. We were lucky and got a site during the week without reservation
