For Sherling Lake Park and Campground: Most of the campsites are occupied by long term campers so there isn’t a lot to select from. Everything looks worn and needs repairing. Campsite was level and paved and the camp manager was helpful and friendly. OK stop for a night but no longer.

For Sherling Lake Park and Campground: Overnight stopover visit leaving Montgomery after days tour of Peaceand Justice Museum/Memorial(fabulous-must see). This small camping site is indeed a jewel! Clean, well maintained, lots and lots of shade trees. Simple sites, covered wooden table on concrete pad shared by two sites. Large sites with thoughtful spacing . Relaxing friendly walking environment encouraging casual “walk by†conversations. Songbirds everywhere with a veritable symphony of bird conversation in mornings. Hiking/bike if trails and hide away lakes . (Close by Robert Trent Jones golf course for golfers...no me) Enjoy!

For Sherling Lake Park and Campground: Agree with other reviews. Definitely a hidden gem. Shower/bathroom super clean. Beautiful trails to hike around the lake. The gentleman that checked us in was really nice and friendly. We were in site 18, it was perfectly level, shaded, great wood deck and picnic table. We would definitely stay here again!
