For Devils Den State Park: Mike and Cheryl here. We have a 44 foot Class A RV. Here is my review of Devils Den Campground Loop E. Getting to the campground is on a 17 mile very narrow, curvy, bumpy uneven road. You will need to hug the center line most of the way. Do not drive to the visitor center, because it is even small and not made for big rigs. The roads in the campground are paved with a few pot holes. Several trees need to be trimmed because they hit our roof on several areas. The office/visitor center was open and everyone were friendly. No camp store. The visitor center is old and small and does not have parking for RVs. Our site was site 53, a back in with no water view, a fire pit, and picnic table. Our site was level. The site was dry but dirty and looked to hold water if it rained. The campground has no seasonal folks. The bath house was OK. No club house or recreational center. No lodge, but the pool area has a café. There is a pool but we never used it. No Laundry facilities. No hot tub. No cable and no Wi-Fi. We had to pay extra for a Wi-Fi service. We did get some over the air TV channels. Overall, the campground is just OK. I do not feel this park is good for more than a few days stay.
All the sites in Loop E were spaced a little close. No views of the creek. You can walk down to the creek from Campground Loop E or A. We would probably not come back.

Midwest Journeys
For Devils Den State Park: Nice large and shaded campsites. A lot of hiking and mountain bike trails to explore. The main downside to this campground is the bathrooms schedule. In Lope D there is 2 bathhouse/restroom buildings, that they alternate days that each one is open, both are never open on the same day.
With COVID-19 and having to social distances, this makes absolutely no since at all! So instead of having both buildings open so less people are using each bathhouse/restroom building and cleaning them more often. They are causing more people more often, which ups everyone’s exposure to more germs. Back before Covid-19 all bathhouse/restroom buildings we open at the same time, no rotating schedules.

For Devils Den State Park: Arkansas does such a great job with their State Parks, and Devil's Den is a prime example. We stayed in their Full Service sites and were happy with how well spaced each site was as well as how clean everything was kept. During the day we hiked all the open trails and in the evenings we enjoyed the thousands of fireflies floating through the woods. Overall, we would return without hesitation. The notes about taking the northern approach with longer trailers and RV's should be heeded and be prepared for steep grades in and out regardless of which road you take. We stayed in late June with a 32' Class C.

For Devils Den State Park: A very scenic and quiet park situated along Lee Creek. Sites well shaded and mostly level. Clean facilities. Lots of hiking trails, mountain biking, canoeing. Nice pool area.
We camped in a 38’ class A and definitely recommend entering via highway 170. IMHO highway 74 too narrow and many sharp curves making travel riskier should you get off the road to avoid oncoming traffic. Just wouldn’t feel comfortable driving my personal rig along that route. Also recommend if you have a larger RV you go directly to your site( if known) as attempting to turn around up at the registration office may be difficult if the park is busy, as we found out. Remember, this park was built back in the 1930’s before many of our larger RVs consequently the roads are still narrow and curved limiting your maneuverability at times. However knowing all that, we enjoyed our stay and would return.
