For Pelican Roost RV Park: What a great place! It appears there are frequent changes in reservations so when we called the first time they had nothing available. When I called back a week later, they had a block of time available at end of March thru beginning of April. We stayed 8 nights in a pull-thru facing the river in a 37’ fifth wheel. There was good spacing between sites and plenty of room to park my truck behind the fifth wheel. We had full hook-up with 50 amp service. Great reception from cable. Most pull-thrus are on a concrete pad with a picnic table also on a concrete pad. There is a good sized dog park, one for small dogs and another for large dogs with frequent doggy bag stations. Loved watching the assorted boats go in and out. Very quiet. 30 day maximum stay. Check in folks were very nice and accommodating. Will definitely be going back. Love it!

For Pelican Roost RV Park: By far, one of the best military campgrounds in CONUS. We’ve traveled to around 107 according to our travel log and Pelican Roost is # 1 in so many ways. We booked a few days while traveling and running from west to east in between Snow, Ice and thunderstorm/ tornado storm event 2021, where the great staff, affectionately listed here as K & R, were wonderful, the site and grounds immaculate, facilities and services superb and the weather and view breathtaking. The grounds are on base, at the end of the peninsula at the Atlantic Ocean and St Johns river inlet. Sites are spaced well, very quiet for a Navy base, and unlike some folks, being retired, I enjoy seeing the ships and watching aircraft fly over. Well Done MWR-Mayport and thanks for having us, we’ll be back!

For Pelican Roost RV Park: Stayed here for 4 days in Jan 20/21. We really like this place and stay here a couple times every year. Beautiful waterfront views, quiet, concrete pads, pull thru with full hookups. NEX on base, commissary a couple miles off base.

For Pelican Roost RV Park: This is a solid 5 campground! It is clean, neat, well kempt, and well run. All sites face the channel where Navy ships come and go all day long. Hookups worked fine as did the WiFi. A short walk takes you down to the beach on the Atlantic Ocean. Stays are short so you don’t see people homesteading for the season. Short stays allows everyone to get a chance to enjoy this campground.
