For Pelican Roost RV Park: Outstanding facility. Easy to locate following supplied directions. Easy base access. Large pull through, water view, hot weather but cool ocean breeze. Beautiful nearly deserted beach. Level concrete pads but hookups spaces wrong for my 5th wheel. Pads are not overly large, supplied picnic table is. Had to pull forward so my slide missed the power box to optimize space. My sewer discharge is in front of the axles, had to use 30’ of hose to reach hookup. Only negative thing was a large quantity of small ants that bite!! Made sitting outside miserable at times. Need to note special requirements for motorcycles. Helmet, over ankle footwear, long sleeve shirt and gloves.

For Pelican Roost RV Park: My first experience with military Campgrounds ! Great Campground ! Level sites, super clean laundry, bathhouse, with individual stalls with door for showering. 3/4 mile to Minimart! 1/4- mile to beach! Last week of July it was HOTTTT but bearable ! Wide clean beach ajacent to the jetties, uncrowded most we saw were about 6-7 families out, a couple of times we were the only ones out !
Only suggestion for improvement would be to add wheelchair accessible to the beach. The boardwalk was ramped at the parking area, but several steep steps down to the beach. Hard with our 7y/o grand-daughter h

For Pelican Roost RV Park: This wonderful campground has set the bar for other military and civilian campgrounds. Great beach setting with an awesome staff. Debbie in the office and Wayne and George as the camp hosts are great. The grounds guy stays up on the grass cutting and the laundry room is always clean. They do a great job sticking to the occupancy rules so no one homesteads at Pelican's Roost. From talking to the other campers who return often they all agree this is a wonderful place too. Easy accesses to the commissary and exchange. An excellent state of the art fitness center is within walking distance. At $19 a night ($23 for front row which offers an unobstructed water view) with electric, cable, wifi, free ice, free laundry, level concrete pad and a great water view watching the ships come and go who can complain? Certainly not us. We love this place.
